This page shows the familytrees of two Hofer families from Switzerland.

1. Friedrich August (II) emigrated to America in 1873, he lived there with his uncle John Wiedmer in Greenville, Illinois. It was here where he met his wife Elisabeth Gilmore. In 1875 he left to go to the west. In spring 1876 he came back, but in fall 1876 he left again to go west.
2. A Hofer family from Switzerland, spread out to England and America.
